1. Basic Protection: Regularly inspect gas and coal-burning equipment to ensure that exhaust pipes are unobstructed; maintain indoor ventilation when using these devices, avoiding prolonged use in enclosed spaces; promptly drive vehicles out of enclosed garages after starting them, and never idle in the car for extended periods. 

2. Equipment Monitoring: Install carbon monoxide detectors, which typically have an alarm threshold of 100 ppm, to monitor concentration changes in real time and provide warnings. 

3. Core Protection: Use a carbon monoxide catalyst as a proactive protection measure. It decomposes CO at the source, providing more stable protection.


Principles and Applicability of Carbon Monoxide Catalysts


The core function of a carbon monoxide catalyst is to convert toxic CO into harmless carbon dioxide at normal or low temperatures. Its core components are mostly precious or non-precious metals. Through an adsorption-catalytic reaction mechanism, it first adsorbs CO molecules from the air, then activates the reaction between CO and oxygen, completing the conversion on the catalyst surface.  The reaction process requires no additional energy and can continuously function.

Carbon monoxide catalysts are suitable for a wide range of scenarios: In homes, they can be installed near gas water heaters, in kitchens, bedrooms, etc., and their compact size saves space; for vehicles, portable catalysts can be used to mitigate CO risks in enclosed environments; in industrial workshops, large-scale catalytic equipment can be deployed to address large-scale CO leakage problems. They are especially suitable for older houses with poor ventilation and where frequent equipment maintenance is difficult, providing more comprehensive protection.
